The Management Team.

Jim Kirwan

CEO, TrySports LLC.

The owner of TrySports, Jim Kirwan, shown here with his son James, was educated at Belvedere College, Dublin and University College Dublin where he graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1977. He worked at the Bank of Ireland from 1973 to 1990, largely in a range of human resources management roles in Dublin and London. He left the bank in to set up his own human resources management consultancy business focused on the fast growing International Financial Services Center in Dublin., and he is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Jim brought his family to Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina during 2003 to start a new sports-focused business, and TrySports opened its doors in February 2004.

Jim has a passion for sport and has a particular interest in following the fortunes of the Irish rugby team. However, his first love is running and he has run for many years though in more recent years he has found the joys of the sport of triathlon. His passion for the aerobic sports of running, swimming, cycling, gym fitness and triathlon have been instrumental in the opening of TrySports.

David Bolger

David received a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland (Kevin Street D.I.T) in 1994. He then worked for the next 10 years with Entropy Ltd. an I.T. & Network Security Implementation company based in Ireland. He progressed through various roles from I.T. Support Analyst to C.T.O./C.O.O. During that time David also took a number of technical and business related further education classes and also received an Executive Certificate in Management from Henley Management College and the Irish Management Institute.

After an introduction to international travel and a short trip to the U.S.A in 2003/2004 where David assisted Jim during the setup and opening of the first TrySports retail store and website, he returned to Ireland and took a position with Daon Inc. as a Biometric & Identity Management Security Consultant for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Finally in February 2006 David submitted to his passion and desire to blend Business & Sport, he returned to the U.S.A and joined TrySports as the Vice President to develop and expand the business and open more stores in new locations.

Time permitting David still "trys" to participate in road races, triathlons and any other endurance activity that presents a physical and mental challenge.
