TrySports Charlotte Running and Walking Club

A club focusing on encouraging members to "Try" the aerobic sports of Walking and Running.

The TrySports Running and Walking Club is for all ability and experience levels...from the beginner walker to the marathon runner. This club was formed from feedback and comments from our members and community to provide numerous opportunities for people to improve their fitness levels.

Membership in this club is Free! Members are welcome to participate in as many or as few weekly training options as they like. Currently the club is setup in a show & go type format where our leaders will help organize you in pace groups/distances that fit your ability. Our weekly training schedule is as follows:

Monday –  Social Run (Draught Beer Deals at Brixx after run)- 6:15p.m. – Meet at TrySports
**NEW TIME**
• 2-6 mile routes
• Walkers and Runners
• 6-12 minute Run Groups
• Followed by social at Brixx Pizza in Blakeney for $1 draft night

Tuesday – Traditional Run/Walk – 6:15 p.m. – Meet at TrySports
• 2-6 mile routes
• Runners/Walkers
• 6-12 Minute Run Groups
• Led by our loyal ambassadors Bill & Cindy, this TrySports tradition will continue on Tuesday nights at 6:15.

Thursday – Traditional Run/Walk – 6:15 p.m. – Meet at TrySports
• 2-6 mile routes
• Runners/Walkers
• 6-12 Minute Run Groups
• Led by our loyal ambassadors Bill & Cindy, this TrySports tradition will continue on Thursday nights at 6:15.

Thursday - Trail Thursday - 6:00 p.m. - **Currently OFF for the Winter - will resume when we get daylight savings time back**

Saturday - Stress Reliever Long Run/Walk - 8:00 a.m. – McMullen Creek Greenway - Meet at EarthFare off of Johnston Rd. Exit
• 3-12 miles
• Walkers and Runners
• 6-12 minute Run Groups
• Coffee following at Earth Fare for anyone who wants to hang out after

All weekly events will be lead by one of our Group Leaders - Glenn Carroll, Chris Lamperski, Bill Moran, Cynthia Rosenthal or by a designated TrySports Representative. Throughout the year, club leaders will identify specific Club Races or Events for members to participate in, but you don't have to be training for anything specific to be a club member. We are just looking for individuals who are passionate about walking, running and meeting others who also enjoy these activities!
