Julie Blackburn, Massage and Stretching Specialist

Julie Blackburn is a very busy mother of three who loves what she does. A graduate from UNCW, she studied massage in Colorado and has worked as a trainer since 1995. Julie is certified through ACSM as a Health and Fitness Specialist and through NASM as a corrective exercise specialist. She has had the opportunity to work with lots of athletes keeping them injury free and helping them recover from their sport. This past year Julie took classes in Ki-Hara Resistance stretching (what they do to keep Dara Torres strong and flexible) as well as kinesiotaping. Jeff Smith- Personal Trainer, ACSM-cPT & NASM-PES

Jeff Smith is the Head Trainer of the Personal Training Team at Gold’s Gym Porters Neck. He is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist, TRX Group Suspension Training Instructor, & PURMOTION Functional Training System Instructor. Jeff has also completed NASM’s Corrective Exercise Specialist course and is currently in the process of completing NASM’s new Fitness Nutrition Specialist. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Finance from UNCW in 2000 and is currently enrolled in the Master of Science: Exercise Science & Health Promotion - Performance Enhancement & Injury Prevention program at Cal U (Anticipated MS Degree - July 2012).
